A safe, nurturing space

Children don't always have the words to express what they're feeling.

At Nurture, children and young people have a warm, private space to express themselves in ways that feel comfortable. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed, with each child met with respect for their individual needs, communication and pace.

In Therapeutic Play, there is no expectation to sit still or talk about feelings. Children can choose to play, create, move, build, use sand, explore stories and imagination, talk — or simply spend time in the space.

Drawing & Talking offers something a little different: a gentle, structured approach that uses drawing to help children and young people explore and process their inner world, without needing to explain or interpret their drawings

About ME

A warm welcome from Lauren

Hi, I'm Lauren — the practitioner behind Nurture. I'm passionate about supporting children and young people to feel understood, valued and emotionally well.

I hold a BSc (Hons) Applied Psychology (First Class) and an MA in Children & Young People's Mental Health. My practice is grounded in these academic foundations alongside ongoing professional development, and I receive regular professional supervision to ensure the highest standard of care for every child I work with.

I work from a place of genuine warmth, curiosity and respect for each child's unique experience. Whether a child comes to me through a school referral or a family enquiry, my aim is always the same — to create a space where they feel truly safe to be themselves.
